WISCONSIN, Wis.
— The women’s ice hockey team at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee beat the men’s team for the second straight year, a 2-0 win Friday.
The U-M women defeated No. 8 seed Wisconsin, 6-1, in a preseason game that also featured two overtime games.
Wisconsin is one of two Division I women’s teams to reach the Frozen Four this season, joining defending champion Washington State.
The U-MN team also advanced to the tournament.
The UW-Milkers will play host to No. 2 seed Michigan State in a semifinal on Saturday.
