College basketball will get a lot of attention in the upcoming months, but not nearly as much as the college football landscape.
According to the Associated Press, there are currently more than 100 schools that have a legitimate shot at competing in the Big Ten, which is up from 50 last season.
That’s not even including the schools that are trying to enter the league in the coming years.
The list includes Kentucky, Texas, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Nebraska, Michigan, Oklahoma and Baylor.
The SEC, meanwhile, will only have nine teams that have been to the NCAA tournament since 2014.
The Big 12 has a history of scheduling the conference’s best teams.
The league has been able to find some of its best players in the past.
The Longhorns, who won the Big East tournament last season, were one of the most popular teams in college basketball last season and the Longhorns are looking to rebound.
Michigan State also won the conference tournament in 2016, while Texas has two players in that group.
Oklahoma and Ohio State also had strong seasons, while Baylor finished a disappointing second in the league.
The only other team to have a winning season last season was Iowa State, who finished 8-15 and missed the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2008.
