Toronto Raptors forward DeMar DeRozan spoke with reporters on Wednesday about his role with the Toronto Raptors after the team’s 108-102 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night.
“We’ve been here before,” DeRos said.
We’re going to get to a better place and get back to playing the way we played. “
But, for us to get the result and get to the NBA Finals is what we want.
I’m going to keep working, trying to improve, keep getting better, and we’ll see what happens.””
I’m not worried about what happens in the future.
I’m going to keep working, trying to improve, keep getting better, and we’ll see what happens.”
DeRozans fourth straight double-double is the Raptors second straight double in the NBA, and it was a welcome return to form for the former All-Star.
After averaging 13.3 points and 11.7 rebounds last season, DeRosa averaged just 13.5 points and 7.7 boards.
DeRojas first double-digit point game was with a 31-point, 10-rebound effort on March 23.
He has shot just 28.8 percent in the last four games, but he shot 56.2 percent from the field and 42.1 percent from three-point range in his previous four games.
“If you’re getting a good look and you’re trying to make a play, it’s going to pay off,” DeRozans coach Dwane Casey said.
DeRosa had 19 points and 13 rebounds, and DeRuzan had 10 points and eight rebounds in the Raptors loss to Golden State.
DeBron James had 24 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for the Warriors, who beat the Raptors 115-105 on Wednesday.
DeAndre Jordan had 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Raptors.
Toronto shot 56 percent in a 92-78 win over Miami on March 21, but was held to 39.3 percent from beyond the arc in that game.
The Raptors have won six straight home games against the Warriors and are in position to clinch the Western Division crown.
But the Warriors have won five of their last six meetings.
The Warriors have a two-game lead on the Miami Heat for first place in the West.
