After she cut her arm with a razor blade, a man shot her in the face, killing her.
The incident happened in the early hours of Monday morning in the northern Italian city of Genoa, Italy.
According to local media, the victim, identified only as Ms. L., was cutting her own hair in the bathtub when she was attacked.
She was found with a cut on her right eye and was rushed to hospital.
The suspect, identified as Mr. M., allegedly confessed to the attack.
It is unclear what sparked the attack, but Ms. M.’s boyfriend, a 32-year-old mechanic, reportedly told police that the suspect was upset after Ms. N. told him she was getting a tattoo.
The man allegedly said the tattoo was a reference to a tattoo of his brother.
The victim’s boyfriend is also facing a charge of attempted murder.
